Over the centuries music has stimulated the hearts and minds of children of every
culture and language. In this spirit, Allison DeSalvo founded World of Song
Productions (WOS) in 1992 to bring live, interactive, musical experiences to young
audiences, ages 2-10 years old, through the WOS Children's Concert Series.
Since then World of Song has evolved to include:
- World of Song Children's Concerts
- The "Music, Art & Me" Program Children's Classes
- Entertainment for Birthday Parties and other Special Occasions
- Recorded Music: CD's and Tapes
- Teacher Training Seminars
- Creative Parenting Workshops
World of Song recognizes the vital role that music, art, dance, drama and
stories play in children's early development and emphasizes the interplay of
these art forms to give each child every opportunity to connect with their natural
impulses to:
sing, move, color, laugh, play and learn.
In this way, World of Song programs offer joyful and dynamic creative experiences
which spark self-expression and self-discovery in a young child while instilling a life
long love of the arts and an appreciation of the world around them.

How World of Song Programs Benefit Your Children
- Encourage cooperative participation and interactive play
- Spark imagination and self-expression
- Stimulate emotional growth by addressing feelings in positive and creative ways
- Develop verbal expression and language
- Nurture individual artistic impulses
- Awaken innate musicality, rhythm and movement
"I want to express our appreciation for all the fine music programs...You use a lot of
movement, gestures and participation, challenging the audience, making everyone feel
personally involved... Your programs are successful with a wide range of ages".
